Several things can trigger a nasty headache or migraine, and these days, it’s almost impossible to avoid them. Stress and anxiety are huge culprits that can rob you of your short-term (and even long-term) health. They can cause headaches/migraines that might only be a slight annoyance — to massive pain that causes you to seek a dark room and hide for hours!
Eating and sleeping patterns also play a significant role in either easing the pain and duration of a headache or migraine…or making it worse. Be sure to eat lots of veggies and salads (raw or lightly steamed), along with protein and “good” fats.
As far as sleeping, try to get a deep, restful, rejuvenating sleep every night by sleeping in a dark room without distractions (like the TV). Regardless of whether it’s a workday or weekend, get to bed and wake up around the same time every day.

The following DIY mixtures may be used for bathing, massage, or in a diffuser (an atomizing diffuser is recommended; 15-30 minutes at a time for an average-sized room). If you’re blending a massage oil, don’t forget to mix the essential oils into a carrier oil, such as Sweet Almond, Jojoba, or Grape Seed.
