Background Information on Vetiver
Vetiver is a type of grass, in which its roots are collected to
make the pure essential oil. Vetiver is not your typical grass.
It usually grows to be about 4-8 feet high, before it is
collected to make the oils. The grass has leaves, and even
small flowers. Vetiver originates from Indonesia, Philippines,
and the Comoro Islands. The grass has a history of being
sewn into clothes and blankets in Russia to protect furs
against the elements. In Ayurvedic times the root was used to
cure bad breath. We now mainly use Vetiver to scent
