Holy Basil essential oil (Tulsi) is gotten from the Holy Basil leaves, the plant is also known as “Tulsi”. It is native to the Tropical Asia, but now found in most tropical parts of the world. It is an erect, tall sub shrub with hairy stems, and simple green on purple leaves. It is considered a sacred plants by the Hindus and often planted around their shrines. It is widely known among the Indian sub-continent as a medicinal plant. It is cultivated for its essential oil and medical use.

  • To support recovery from a cold, put a few drops in warm bath water.
  • For spiritual upliftment, pour a few drops into a handkerchief and inhale.
  • For dull hair, add a few drops on the palm of hand and massage into hair.

Do not use while pregnant or nursing. If you have had a history of health problems, consult your physician before use. May inhibit blood clotting. Do not use if taking anticoagulant medications or have diabetes or cancer. When taken orally, it may interact with pethidine, MAOIs or SSRIs. Avoid if taking anticoagulant medication, having major surgery, have peptic ulcers, hemophilia, or other bleeding disorders.
