Bach Flower Essences Dr. Edward Bach invented flower essences in England over 80 years ago.   He was a medical doctor and surgeon for over twenty years and worked as a consultant and bacteriologist.  With much research into immunology, he developed an interest in homeopathy and joined the labs of Royal London Homeopathic Hospital in 1919.   Despite his successful work in orthodox medicine, he felt dissatisfied with the way doctors were expected to concentrate on diseases and to ignore the people who were suffering them. He turned to alternative therapies. Dr. Bach believed that illness is the effect of disharmony between body and mind. Symptoms of an illness are the external expression of negative emotional states. In 1928 he began work on his own remedies made from plants. At the age of forty-three (1930), he gave up his lucrative Harley Street practice and left London in order to concentrate on finding a new system of healing involving plant remedies.   In spring and summer he discovered and prepared new flower herbal remedies, and in winter he treated patients for free.   Dr. Bach developed the remedies over the next five years.  He found that when he treated the personalities and emotions of his patients their unhappiness and physical distress would be alleviated and allow the natural healing potential in their bodies to unblock energetically and heal.  How To Use:  Like any other homeopathic preparation, Alaskan Essences should be consumed with a clean pallet (no eating, drinking, smoking) 15 minutes before and after using.   Place 1/3 dropper into mouth and hold for 20 seconds before swallowing.  They can also be added to water and lotions if desired.
