Why Essential Oils for Hair?

Essential oils for hair can help you if you are like many who struggle with various hair issues. Whether you have dry hair, oily hair, want thicker hair, or are losing your hair, there’s an oil for that!*

We all desire luxuriously strong and healthy hair! How our hair looks and feels, however, is based on several things. Focusing on the outside influencers of hair health, we need to look at our current hair care products (shampoo, conditioner, gels, etc.) and their ingredients.

Many products contain synthetic, toxin-laden ingredients that not only build-up on the hair shaft and affect its health and sheen, but may also contribute to internal health issues as they seep into your pores and enter the bloodstream.

Also, chlorinated pools and blow-dryers (heated curlers/straighteners, too) can cause dry, dull hair and split ends. And speaking of water, the quality of the water coming out of your shower head affects your hair in a big way. Installing a shower filter can remove chlorine and other chemicals, or at least lessen the amount of those things in your water.

You ARE What You Eat!

It’s important that you don’t underestimate the effects of internal influencers on hair health, too. What you eat (lots of organic veggies v. lots of sugar/processed foods) can affect your hair more than you realize. Stress levels and genetics also play a role.

Why not address some of these influencers of hair health? Maybe commit to eating a fresh, organic salad for dinner tonight, as well as starting to use essentials oils for hair!

  • kathy tilton says:

Your directions say to add 3-5 drops to a carrier oil..I am not sure what a carrier oil is? I thought that the hair helper essential oil was an oil & you would just apply it to your scalp.. Is a carrier oil maybe your conditioner or maybe coconut oil? I thought that you were just suppose to add the oil to your shampoo..Do you add the oil to your conditioner & apply to your scalp, wash out after a few minutes & then add it to your shampoo?

  • Yamili says:

Carrier oils are Coconut oil, Jojoba, Sunflower, sweet almond, olive, avocado etc. For example, good carrier oils for oily skin are: grape seed, jojoba, Sunflower, sweet almond and apricot kernel
